Overview - Currency Exchange Rate Import Extension
Magento provides 'Webservicex' as in the box currency rate import service, but sometimes it doesn't work and doesn't support all the available currencies as well. So here comes this extension from RedChamps, it adds Google and Yahoo as additional currency exchange rate import services.
These additional two services are popular and always up and working services.
How to use it
Go to System > Manage Currencies > Rates
Choose Google/Yahoo from import service dropdown
Click import followed by 'Save currency rates'
How to configure automatic rate import
Go to System > Configuration > General > Currency Setup > Scheduled Import Settings
Adjust values as per requirement

Wonderful!!
The default currency rate import service of Magento was not working from past few days for us. We installed his extension and it perfectly imported rates using Yahoo.
