Overview - Logo Upload Extension
By default, Magento asks you to upload logo at filesystem and provide its path in admin which is really an inconvenient process. That's why we developed this extension to allow uploading logo directly in admin at the same place you enter logo source (System >Configuration > General > Design > Header > Logo Image).

Should be part of Magento Core
It's already June 2020 and Magento 1 support is going to end, but still, this very useful feature is still not of Magento 1 core. We'll be using M1 for the next 40-50 years and just installed this module now and it's working as expected with the latest and last Magento version 1.9.4.5 using PHP 7.3.

ignores theme package, and doesnt work with git or svn
Two issues;
1) It ignores the sys config for theme package meaning it uploads to 'skin/base/default' rather than 'skin/MYTHEME/default'.
2) To work with source control such as git or svn it would need to upload to a non-source controlled dir such as /media/. As it stands now, the uploaded file would be deleted on each git pull or deploy
I run magento 1.9.3

Works instantly. Using 1.9.3.6
Works instantly with no issues at all. Just install it and it works out of the box. Very useful to replace your logo fast, without uploading it in your skin folder via FTP. :) Best of all it's free!

Really old module, but still working!
Works great! It was released last 2014, but it's still working until today, even in the latest Magento version 1.9.3.0. Now we can easily change the logo fast from Magento admin.
