    Overview - Meta Robots Tag Per Page Magento-2 Extension

    There will be cases in an eCommerce store when you want to set meta robot tag of a particular product, category or a static page. Hence, we have developed the "Meta Robots Tag Per Page" Magento 2 extension to configure the meta robot tag on per page basis. Also, it will exclude pages from sitemap having meta robots tag 'NOINDEX, FOLLOW' or 'NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW'

    What exactly does this Magento extension do?

    It adds a new option for choosing a meta robot tag to the "Search Engine Optimization" tab of the category, product, and CMS pages and a setting at path Store > Configuration > RedChamps > Meta Robot Tag Per Page to specify URL and meta robots tag of pages. So, using this setting you can update meta robot tag on any page of your store.

    You can just choose the desired robot tag value and hit save. It's that easy!

    How can this extension be beneficial to the store?

    For example, you do not want to index Shopping Cart and Checkout pages in the search engines. With this extension, you can make this happen by choosing 'Noindex, Nofollow' robots tag for those pages.
