Overview - Product Sku Validator Magento-2 Extension

While creating a product in Magento 2 admin, if you enter an SKU value that already exists for a product then Magento 2 will automatically add a suffix like "-1" upon saving the product and informs you that SKU wasn't unique so the suffix has been added.

In this case, you might not like the SKU with a suffix and has to change the SKU to some other value and re-save the product. But if the new SKU also belongs to some existing product then Magento will add the suffix again. This might get frustrating :-)

So, we have developed this tiny extension which will let you know if entered SKU belongs to some other product as soon as you type it.

What exactly this Magento extension does?

While creating a new product or editing an existing product in admin, as soon as you type new SKU or edit the existing one, the extension will verify if this SKU is unique in the catalog and show a warning just below SKU text box in case the SKU is not unique.

How can this extension be beneficial to a store?

This will make the process of choosing a unique SKU for each product easy.
